Northride is our recommended option for both employers and employees due to its simplicity, flexibility, and added value.

Once an employer is onboarded, Northride works just like a payment method at checkout. Employees can choose any bike, and complete their purchase seamlessly through the scheme.

Key benefits of Northride:

  • No surcharge – unlike some schemes, Northride does not carry a surcharge
  • Servicing can be included – spread the cost over time and benefit from the same tax savings
  • Simple to use – functions like a standard payment option in-store
  • No upfront cost for employers – bikes are provided through the scheme with costs spread over time
  • Meaningful tax savings – saving a substantial portion of the cost through pre-tax salary deductions
  • Flexible choice – applies to our full range of bikes and a wide range of equipment



💼 How ride-to-work schemes work

These schemes allow employees to salary sacrifice the cost of a bike using pre-tax income. In return, they gain access to a bike intended primarily for commuting, resulting in substantial tax savings.

While the scheme is designed to support commuting, your bike can of course be used for everyday riding as well — whether that’s weekend trips, errands, or leisure rides.

The schemes are enabled by current fringe benefit tax (FBT) rules and are supported by Inland Revenue.

All bikes we sell are eligible across these schemes. Fitted equipment is included, though removable accessories may not qualify.
